Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control. You will work closely with the restaurant and catering teams to ensure high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following proper sanitation procedures
- Train new kitchen staff members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
- Oversee banquet events, ensuring timely delivery of meals and adherence to client specifications
Experience:
- Proven experience working as a Chef in a restaurant or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management principles and techniques
- Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for handling and storing food
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
